So how did it all begin? Well I have always been interested in a wide variety of music and even as a youngster I would listen to music for at least a couple of hours a day. I soon realized, with the technology available, that I could mix and make music myself, which got me fully obsessed.

Where are you based? I’m a student in Oxford so I’ll be based here for the next couple of years. Though the demand for house/techno isn’t massive, there are some reliable nights that pull in some decent artists.

Favourite gig you’ve played at in 2014 & why? Playing at Gottwood has to be a highlight. Though it wasn’t the wildest of gigs, it was one of the most enjoyable for me as it was such a refreshing change from playing in a club late at night. I was playing the lake stage, the sun was shining and there were some really good vibes.

What DJs/ Producers do you rate at the moment? For me, DJ Koze is an unbelievable producer and his skills as a remixer are second to none. Leon Vynheall’s approach to production is also noteworthy, having put out some fantastically original material over the past couple of years. As for DJs, seeing Konstantin Sibold Melt! Festival over the summer was a mind-bottling experience.

Out of all the tunes you have, which one ‘never fails? Donup (Strip Steve remix)

Biggest tune of the summer? Bad Kingdom (Dj Koze Remix)

Best release of the year so far? Liminal by The Acid

How do you like to spend your time when you’re not doing all of the above? I love travelling so I try to get away as much as possible.

Where do you go/ what do you do to get inspired? I always feel the most inspired after festivals. It reminds me that there is so much diversity and creativity out there.

If you could be anywhere in the world right now where would you be? Chefchaouen in Morocco. I went there recently and just thought it was great.

What can we expect from you in 2015? Hopefully some new releases and a couple of remixes will be on the way so stay tuned.

Finally, what advice would you give to up and coming DJs/Producers? Listening to a wide variety of music from different genres provides perspective for production and diversity for DJ sets.
